This October, Cape Town is hosting the GBCSA’s 2019 Green Building Convention. Now in its 12th year, the theme is Beyond: Shaping Cities of Tomorrow, with a focus on ‘creating cities that are cleaner, healthier and happier places to live, work, learn and play’, according to the GBCSA.

The event will highlight the built environment; effective policy and leadership; the investment case for green building and the promotion thereof; the value chain from products to procurement; as well as an in-depth look at cities.

Noted speakers include designer, consultant and architect Jason McLennan; Werksmans Attorneys director and member of the land reform panel Bulelwa Mabasa; global adviser, strategist, researcher and climate change expert David Viner; and Ernesto Infante Barbosa, sustainable-building financing expert.
